Jenni

Head Teacher

I have worked in early childhood for over 25 years and joined One Tree Hill Kindergarten in 2006. Before this I worked in a variety of day-care centres mainly with under twos. I have also worked in Canada and England as a nanny.

Most of my family live in England and when I can I love to go and visit them and of course I still love visiting Canada and the friends I made while living there. I enjoy exploring New Zealand, scrap booking my travel photos, walking, gardening and spending time with friends.

Eudy

Teacher
I have over 10 years of experience in early childhood education. My family and I moved to New Zealand more than 30 years ago from Hong Kong. I initially gained a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Auckland, however my passion for working with children led me to retrain and I gained my Diploma of Teaching (ECE) in 2001. I have worked in a range of early childhood centres & kindergartens locally and overseas. I live in One Tree Hill with my husband and enjoy spending time with our four fur babies (cats).

¡Hola! I was born in Guadalajara, (the 2nd biggest city in Mexico) where I grew up. I left my home when I was 23 years old and went to England to learn English. I worked mainly as a nanny and au-pair. I then went to Israel and volunteered in a kibbutz where I was assigned to the day care and where I ended meeting my  kiwi husband. I arrived in NZ in 1998 and have mostly worked in the travel industry. I have a very active 11 year old son who attended One Tree Hill Kindergarten and loved it! I love handcrafts and cooking, making desserts and cakes the most. One of my favourite things is going to the movies with my son.

Pauline

Teacher

I have been working in education for nearly 30 years, teaching in both the primary and early childhood sectors, and came to One Tree Hill Kindy in 2016. I am fortunate to live in Greenlane, so am able to walk regularly in Cornwall Park. I also enjoy the beach, reading, and catching up with friends and family. My husband Peter and I have 3 children, and 7 grandchildren, who we love spending time with.

Rachel

Kindy Assistant

I was born in the Waikato and lived on a dairy farm in Gordonton with my parents and two brothers.  We then exchanged our gumboots for sneakers when we moved to Greenlane for primary school. I have lived in Auckland ever since.  I studied and completed a degree in commerce/marketing and then made the decision to train and work as a primary school teacher.

I also LOVE being creative. This led to me starting a small business in graphic design and later in furniture design, while our young family was growing up.  I live in One Tree Hill with my husband, 4 children, dog and cat.   We are a busy family,  what we love most is going on family adventures – paddleboarding, boating, bike trail riding and hiking.

I have been an early childhood educator for around 10 years in the local community, and started at the Kindy in 2016.  I am passionate about providing a variety of experiences that engage and follow children’s interests.  I live with my husband and lovely daughters.  I also have a keen interest in retro and vintage collecting in my spare time, this comes through in some of my fashion choices : )
