Head Teacher
I have worked in early childhood for 20 years and joined One Tree Hill Kindergarten in 2006. Before this I worked in a variety of day-care centres mainly with under twos. I have also worked in Canada and England as a nanny.
Most of my family live in England and when I can I love to go and visit them and of course I still love visiting Canada and the friends I made while living there. I enjoy exploring New Zealand, scrap booking my travel photos, gardening and visiting my friends.
Teacher
I have enjoyed working with children for over twenty years in England, Scotland and New Zealand. I emigrated from England in 2004 and I enjoy living in this community. I am a mother of two boys, Seth and Joseph. In my spare time I enjoy flax weaving, developing my cooking skills and spending time with my boys. I graduated from Auckland University in 2013 and I have relieved in different centres before joining the team here in August 2014.
Teacher
I trained as a kindergarten teacher at Auckland Teachers College where I graduated with a diploma in 1986. I have taught at a number of different kindergartens in Auckland and before starting my family I was Head Teacher at Cuthbert Kindergarten in Onehunga. I enjoy working at One Tree Hill Kindergarten where I have been teaching since 2003. I have lived in Onehunga since 1989 with my husband Robert and we have 3 children. I love going for walks in Cornwall Park, reading and watching sport.
Teacher
I have been working in education for nearly 30 years, teaching in both the primary and early childhood sectors. I am fortunate to live in Greenlane, so am able to walk regularly in Cornwall Park. I also enjoy the beach, reading, and catching up with friends and family. My husband Peter and I have 3 children, and 6 grandchildren, who we love spending time with.
Kindergarten Assistant
I have previously worked as a nanny and am currently training to become an early childhood teacher. I grew up in Onehunga but now live in West Auckland with my partner Connor. In my spare time I enjoy going for walk and spending time with friends and family.
Teacher
I began my career as a secondary school teacher in London and have also worked as a primary school teacher in both London and Auckland. After attending Playcentre with one of my children I decided to study and became a qualified early childhood teacher last year. I am pleased to be working here for this year as Shayna takes maternity leave. I am married with three children and enjoy going to the beach, on bushwalks, going to art galleries and reading.
Office Administrator
I came to New Zealand when I was 21. I meet a great kiwi guy (now my better half), moved to New Zealand and have two wonderful children.
I have been working within customer services/admin for more than 20 years now and have extensive knowledge of various systems within the logistics, export, import, hospitality and now educational sector.
I enjoy my everyday busy life with two school aged children and the occasional travelling within NZ and abroad where we mainly visit family and friends in Denmark and England.
